As 2018 draws to a close, we are reflecting on the year by celebrating the volunteer and outreach efforts of our employees around the world, and the lasting impact they have made in the communities where we live and work. Our efforts throughout 2018 reflected our company values, primarily those of sustainability, teamwork and courage. Let’s take a look back at some of our key wins in these areas!
Education
Supporting education projects allows us to improve communities that are traditionally underserved because of gender, socioeconomic or geographic differences.
Inspired by UNICEF’s commitment to education, innovative thinking and a community-based approach to educating refugee children in Syria, the Avery Dennison Foundation contributed $100,000 to the organization’s Self-Learning Program. Although Avery Dennison does not have a location in Syria, our employees in Europe reached out to our Foundation with a desire to support children impacted by global conflict.
