Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Avery Dennison

Global Recognition

One way we honor our diverse team is through global celebration of events that recognize or commemorate diversity. Additionally, our regions and sites across the globe commemorate and celebrate diversity in ways particularly relevant to their local communities.

Regional DEI Councils

We respect and appreciate the diverse cultures, ways of working, and local expertise of our global team. Each of our four regions (North America; Latin America; Europe, Middle East, Africa; and Asia Pacific) is represented by a regional DEI Council that is led by an executive sponsor. These councils ensure that the DEI needs and concerns of the region are understood, acted upon, and shared with our global community.

Employee Resource Groups

ERGs at Avery Dennison are the foundation of DEI within the company. Grassroots in nature, organized and promoted by employees, ERGs bring together people with shared interests in DEI topics for discussion, support and advocacy. Here are a few of our ERGs:

Black Employee Resource Group (BERG)

Black Employees Resource Group (BERG)
BERG promotes diversity by driving greater inclusion of self-identified African American/Black employees across the organization by building a strong support network, bridging cultural gaps, and creating allies with other employees.

Elevate is dedicated to strengthening a diverse and inclusive work environment by providing programs, resources, support and advocacy aimed at advancing women in leadership positions.

NEO Chinese Association

NEO Chinese Association
The Northest Ohio Chinese Association promotes Chinese culture and enhances multi-cultural exchange and mutual understanding to support and foster career growth for new and visiting Avery Dennison employees of Chinese origin.

Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG)

Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG)
VERG builds esprit de corps and a sense of inclusion, promotes leadership,and provides support for employees who are veterans/current active duty/reserve military and employees who wish to learn more about the Veteran experience.

Unite supports the LGBTIQ+ and ally community by offering a safe space and an in-person and virtual community where employees can network, find and share support, and discuss issues important to LGBTIQ+ and allied employees.

Voz Latina
This ERG strives to create a supportive community where employees can celebrate the contributions of the Latinx culture in North America. Voz Latina accomplishes this through education and driving focus towards the recruitment, retention, equity, and professional growth of Hispanic/Latinx employees at Avery Dennison.
